Far from being just a basic configuration, the 5.56 NATO is the definitive, battle-proven standard for the AR-15 platform that balances high-velocity performance with unmatched versatility. This system thrives with a massive variety of ammunition, specifically tuned for 55gr to 77gr loads to provide unrivaled reliability across tactical and sporting applications. If you're building a dedicated duty rifle or a high-volume range trainer, a 5.56 upper assembly offers the widespread parts availability and flat-shooting consistency required to push the limits of the small-bore gas gun.

Our AR15 Elite AR-15 uppers are American Made and machined by manufacturers of mil-spec AR-15 components.  All barrels are individually checked for headspace using Manson go and no-go gauges.

Specifications: 

  • Upper Receiver: AR15 Milspec forged aluminum upper receiver with forward assist and dust cover assembly installed. Matte black hard coat anodized Mil 8625 Type 3 Class 2. Forged from 7075 T6 aluminum.  7075 Aluminum is superior in strength to 6061 billet aluminum.
  • Handguard: Premium, Lightweight 17" Extended Rifle Length Narrow-Profile AR15 M LOK Handguard. Fit and finish on our line of ergonomical free float rails is outstanding and light weight. M LOK slots run the entire length of our rail at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions. M LOK compatible rail sections and attachments can easily be attached to our handguards which makes adding accessories like sights, bipods, flash lights, grips, lasers, etc. a breeze.  Matte black hard coat anodized Mil 8625 Type 3 Class 2. Milled from 6061 aircraft aluminum.
  • Barrel: 16 inch 5.56 NATO Chrome Moly M4 profile Barrel with 1x8 twist. 1/2x28 muzzle threads.  Parkerized Finish. Standard AR15 Barrel Extension w/M4 feed ramp.  Properly headspaced with Manson Go and No-Go Gauges.  Will handle 5.56 NATO and 223 Remington Ammunition.
  • Gas Block: .750” Low Profile, Nitride Finish.
  • Gas System: Carbine Length Gas Tube.
  • Muzzle Device: Flash Cone with crush washer.

Upper arrives assembled, ready to use and will fit all standard Milspec dimension AR 15 lower receivers.

    Well built upper and looks better in person. Glad I got this one without the flash hide. Quiter.
